What is American Dream?
American Dream is a small donor committee. It is an issue based committee that was started to support candidates that support issues important to the community.
Who founded American Dream?
American Dream was founded by a group of Latina women from Colorado. Founding members include: Veronica Barela, Patricia Barela Rivera, Representative Crisanta Duran, Nita Gonzales, Joelle Martinez, Honorable Ramona Martinez and Cindy Pena.
Why was American Dream Founded?
The founders are deeply connected to the community and the political environment in Colorado and wanted to create a funding and support mechanism for candidates for the Colorado State Legislature that will advocate for issues pressing to the community.
What issues does American Dream Support?
There are many pressing issues in the community but one that is at the forefront is Colorado Asset. American Dream strongly supports the Asset Bill and is advocating that support through these efforts. American Dream was established so that it could support candidates that support issues like Colorado Asset.
What candidates are you supporting?
American Dream has not officially endorsed candidates for office but intends to endorse candidates that represent the community and are good on our issues, like Colorado Asset. We will likely make official endorsements in the coming month.
Does American Dream only support Latino candidates?
Supporting Latino candidates is a major priority and function of the American Dream political committee but we strongly believe in supporting candidates across the board that support the issues we care about and that impact the community every day.
